Pool access is one of those upgrades that can look irresistible before you have thought about how you swim.

Pool access is one of those upgrades that can look irresistible before you have thought about how you swim. Navinda Krabi’s guest accounts include a mini suite with that feature. I can see the temptation. I would also ask whether I want my room to feel connected to the pool all afternoon.

The former Small Resort listing now uses the name Navinda Krabi. Recent reports praise clean accommodation and mention a pool-access mini suite, including satisfactory Wi-Fi in one account. That attractive setup is category-specific; I would not assume a standard room has the same access. I would compare the extra cost with how much time I expect to spend at the property, and ask about terrace privacy if pool access is the main reason for upgrading.

The old Small Resort link now uses the name Navinda Krabi. That is useful to establish at the beginning, particularly if you have collected reviews under both names. I would save the current listing and exact address with the confirmation, rather than assume a name change means every room and service has changed in the same way. The evidence here is about the retrieved property and the categories guests describe.

The recent praise for cleanliness and the room’s internet connection is encouraging. For someone returning between outings, a comfortable room and useful connectivity can have more value than a long list of occasional activities. One good Wi-Fi experience, however, is not a measurement of every room at every busy hour. I would avoid making time-sensitive work depend entirely on that single report.

The pool-access decision is personal. If swimming is a repeated part of the day, stepping from your own outdoor area can make the upgrade feel worthwhile. If you prefer one proper swim and then go out, a standard room with ordinary access to the shared pool might be sufficient. I would count the actual hours of use rather than buy the photograph’s promise of a completely different holiday.

Privacy needs to be included in that calculation. How does the terrace relate to other swimmers? Can you sit outside comfortably while the pool is busy? What separates indoor space from the water area? These are questions about the particular category, not accusations about the property. People vary enormously in whether being close to shared activity feels sociable or intrusive.

For a couple, that outdoor connection may be the small pleasure that defines the stay. For a family, safety and supervision enter the discussion as well as convenience. For a solo traveler, I would compare how much time is spent at the property with the cost of the upgrade. There is no single correct choice simply because the category is more expensive.

Navinda would interest me as a room-led decision: choose the space first, then see whether the pool connection supports the trip. The guest accounts give a reason to investigate the appealing category. They do not make every category equivalent. I would happily pay extra for a feature I expect to use, but I would keep the upgrade money if most of the holiday will happen outside the resort.
